Central Pattana Public Company Limited "CPN" is affirming its position as a leading retail property development in Thailand with the announcement of new CentralPlaza Chiangmai 2 on the super highway to the north of Chiangmai. Chiangmai is the centre of prosperity and it is continuously growing in every aspect. The lifestyle of people in Chiangmai and nearby towns is becoming increasingly urbanized and shopping centres can be developed as leisure and entertainment destinations and modern community centres. The location also would be appropriate due to convenient transportation, preferred route for traveling to Chiangrai, developed infrastructure, a new residential area, surroundings with many high-class hotels and housing estates nearby. The project will build on the company's customer base of young people, families, and Thai and foreign tourists and will act as the true "lifestyle hub" of the northern region.

Moreover, CPN puts a priority on energy conservation and environmental conservation so the design of this new project is based on the innovative Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design or LEED concept, the latest trend in retail-centre development. The building will be designed to make better use of natural sunlight, using environmental-friendly material and more green areas will be included.
